February 6, 2014,  a conference  with an aim to create a cultural, tourist and economic bridge between the c Piacenza (Emilia Romagya) and Russia was held at the Palazzo Galli in Piacenza (Italy).

The meeting was opened by the President of the Province Massimo Trespidi and the  presentation of the project «DAVAI PIACENZA», represented by Marzio Dallagiovanna, the president of the Italian branch of the Gorbachev Foundation.

Piacenza is  not the most famous  region in Russia, but  it is a very promising area  for tourism and economic cooperation. It is close to Milan,  and such  location makes Piacenza even more attractive on the occasion of the World Expo 2015.

From the Russian side the event was attended by Alexander Nourizadeh, the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Milan , Oleg Shchegolev,   Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce DG deputy, Konstantin Krokhin, The Chairman of the MCCI Commission  on international  trade  cooperation with partners in  Italian Republic.

In his speech, Konstantin Krokhin told  about the work of the MCCI Italian Commission and outlined specific opportunities and prospects of the Moscow region for the Italo-Russian cooperation.

The event  was widely covered in the Italian press.
