May 27, 2014, at the meeting on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce (IRCC) an agreement on cooperation between the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the IRCC was signed.

 Opening the event, President  of  IRCC  Rosario Alessandrello read the greeting  letter from the President of Italy Giorgio Neapolitano. Greeting letter  fom  the Russian leader Vladimir Putin  was read  by CCI President Sergei Katyrin. In his speech, Sergey Katyrin emphasized  that  in his work he personally  associated with the IRCC  about twenty years and, in spite of the difficulties, the work of the Chamber  has never stopped. IRCC  has made an enormous contribution to the development of trade and economic relations between Italy and Russia, helping to  Italian and Russian companies in matters of trade, promoting networking, providing the necessary and timely information and advice, organizing activities that promote the strengthening of trade and economic relations . Sergey Katyrin presented awards to the Chamber  of the  persons,  who have made great contributions to the work and development of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce.

At the moment, Italy is the second largest EU countries-exporters to the Russian Federation, its exports to Russia in 2013 year reached its historical maximum (10.8 5bn. euros) and this, of course, there is great merit of  IRCC.

 The Chairman of the Moscow Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian State Duma deputy, honorary IRCC adviser Yelena Panina, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Italian Republic in the Russian Federation Cesare Maria Ragalini, director of the First European Department of the Foreign Ministry Alexander Shulgin, Russian trade representative in Italy, the newly elected Vice President IRCC Natela Shengelia, general director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Andrei Nikitin, director of "ICE-Moscow" Maurizio Forte, president of "Koeklerichi" SpA, vice president of  IRCC Paolo Clerici, president of the administrative council of "Bank Intesa -Moscow”  Antonio Fallico, president of "Confindustria " in Russia Ernesto Ferlenghi, president of the administrative council " General invest "SpA, vice president IRTP Vincenzo Trani, Deputy General Director of JSC" Expocentre "Nikolay Gusev and other guests  also delivered a speech at the event.

The Chairman of the MCCI Commission  on international  trade  cooperation with partners in  Italian Republic Mr.  Konstantin   Krokhin attended the event, held a series of b2b  meetings, and discussed with the IRCC leaders  the  issues of participation of its representatives in the Business Forum, organized by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce on May 29-30, 2014, during the Days of Moscow in Milan.

The  IRCC DG  Lev  Kwiatkowski  sent  Mr. Krokhin the  grateful letter for the  participation in the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the IRCC  and noted that the successful realization  of the planned activities would not be possible without his participation.
