Opening of the long-awaited exhibition "Northern Atlantis. Return of Beauty" in the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve!
The exhibition is dedicated to the revival and preservation of the beauty of peasant life and traditional costume of the Russian North.
The project was created in partnership with the Krokhino Charity Foundation and the Studio for the Study, Revival and Development of National Traditions "Russian Beginnings".
The central place is given to the history of the Vologda village of Krokhino, flooded in 1964 during the construction of the Volga-Baltic Waterway. The "Krokhinsky Hall" of the exhibition presents reconstructed wedding costumes of the Krokhino Posad. And the historical "context" of their existence is emphasized by artifacts from the Fund's collection - items associated with life in these places before the flood.
The Return of Beauty" in the Kolomenskoye Museum in Moscow was aired on Vologda Regional Television.
