June 23, 2014, The Chairman of the MCCI Commission  on international  trade  cooperation with partners in  Italian Republic Mr.  Konstantin   Krokhin  took part in the Italian-Russian workshop in the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy), dedicated to the local  food and wines. From  the Russian side the event was attended by such famous companies as "Casa Rinaldi", "La Pasta Fresco", "La Dolce Vita", "Le Bon Gourmet",  from the Italian side there were  more than 20 Sardinian producers of high quality food and wines,  which have not yet present in the Russian market.

During the workshop  in Cagliari  Mr. Krokhin held a series of b2b  meetings with representatives of business and institutional structures of Sardinia and offered to  the Italian side  to conduct a full presentation of the  Sardinia region  in Moscow on the basis  of the MCCI, noting the growing interest of local manufacturers to the Russian market.

He also gave an interview to a local TV news channel in which he emphasized the importance of bilateral regional cooperation and the need of the  opening  of the  Sardinia region  for the Russians  not only as  a place of high-end  leisure, but   as a source of organic food too.
